Legend of the Sea

A true legend of the sea, Ombak Putih—meaning “White Wave” in Indonesian—has been sailing the archipelago since 1997. Built in Kalimantan with traditional craftsmanship and maritime soul, this 42-metre Phinisi-style schooner delivers a rare combination of heritage and hospitality. Led by Captain Jufri and a 14-strong crew, Ombak Putih is your gateway to slow, spacious, and story-rich voyages through the Indonesian seas.

Designed for immersive travel, this handcrafted vessel carries up to 24 guests across 12 cabins and offers 400 square meters of shared space. Think barefoot elegance with a side of smart adventure.

Life on Board

Ombak Putih was built for connection — to nature, to people, and to the sea. Twelve comfortable cabins provide simple, air-conditioned retreats, while communal decks encourage conversation and discovery.

Days unfold with sunrise yoga, guided snorkeling, hikes through spice villages, and long dinners beneath the stars. Evenings bring storytelling, live music, and the kind of camaraderie only small-ship travel creates.

Cabin Layout:

  • 6 Double Cabins
  • 2 Triple Cabins (Double + Upper Bunk – ideal for kids under 12)
  • 4 Twin Bunk Cabins
  • All Ensuite Bathrooms & A/C | 12 Cabins total / 24 Guests

A Legend Reborn

Built entirely from ironwood using time-honoured Phinisi craftsmanship, Ombak Putih is a gaff-rigged ketch with twin masts soaring 30 metres above deck. She cruises comfortably at 7–10 knots, combining the romance of sail with modern engineering and full navigation systems.

Her design balances simplicity and space — bright teak interiors, open decks, and sea-breeze ventilation that make every voyage feel natural and unhurried. Whether joining a scheduled expedition or chartering privately, guests step into a rhythm that’s uniquely Indonesian: part sailing adventure, part cultural immersion.

Highlights:

  • 42 m traditional Phinisi (1997 build)
  • Hand-crafted ironwood hull & deck teak
  • Cruising speed 7–10 knots | Max 12 knots
  • 14 crew led by Captain Jufri
