Calico Jack is a beautiful 30m wooden schooner that combines the ancient traditions of the Bugis wooden shipbuilders with the new. Born on the beaches of South Sulawesi, the team worked closely with the craftsmen to design a thoroughly modern experience for our guests yet dripping with History and extraordinary wood craftsmanship.
Visually Calico Jack is pure tradition, but within, you will find comfort and service with hot water, A/C and private bathrooms. The boat can fit 10 guests in 5 comfortable cabins with flexible configurations between double and shared accommodation.
Two-speed boats are ready to bring you safely to the best dive sites in Indonesia.
Calico Jack carries two liveaboard cruises per month for 10+ months each year. The Guide professional to Divers ratio is 1:5, including our dive instructor always following the group overseeing the requirements and assuring safe, comfortable dives. We consider each guest’s needs to ensure all are comfortable and safe. Two dive guides and our dive instructor are perfect spotters and are happy to assist you during any dive.
Each cruise has a range of inland and non-diving activities to complete your liveaboard holiday experience in Eastern Indonesia. We have all dive and snorkeling gear needed, Nitrox, kayaks and SUP boards onboard.
Our special pride is our crew. Highly professional, but still Pirates by blood. They are descendants of Budgies, the ethnic group – of Indonesia’s original sailors and shipbuilders. They embody the connection with the sea and the pride of being a sailor.
Calico Jack operates within the beauty and vastness of the Indonesian archipelago, offering access to the best cruising/diving in Indonesia and arguably the World.
Onboard Calico Jack, you will escape the crowds and journey amongst still pristine islands, experiencing the vast healthy reef systems, biodiversity, and stunning landscapes. Cruises depart throughout the year with a range of destinations.
